What will the right person find attractive about the role?
The right person will appreciate taking the lead role for Tax within Air Lift. This a newly created position, an opportunity for someone to come in and create the processes that will define this Tax function. Tax is outsourced to a public accounting firm and that setup will remain. Within 24 months, the right Tax Manager should be ready for an internal promotion to Corporate Controller. The current Controller is set to retire, this is a succession hire.
What is the company looking for?
The company is looking for a CPA who can hold their own with regards to managing the Tax outsource to BDO. A tax expert is helpful, but not necessary. This would be a great opportunity for someone to exit public accounting with an eye towards exiting Tax. A public accounting background is strongly preferred.
